scwsystems is hiring a Pilot Plant Operator for the CO₂ CleanUp initiative in Alkmaar, Noord-Holland. This role centers on hands-on work in a pilot plant, supporting the development and improvement of climate-focused technology. The position works closely with engineers and researchers to run, monitor, and optimize plant processes.
Key responsibilities
- Run and document tests in the pilot plant, collaborating with test leads and researchers to define objectives and parameters.
- Ensure safe execution of operational tasks, collect process samples, and perform basic analyses.
- Troubleshoot operational disruptions, report process deviations, and suggest improvements to plant processes.
- Monitor fluid and tank balances, manage process fluids, and coordinate chemical waste disposal with the team.
- Draft and update operational guidelines and support predictive maintenance of sensors, pumps, filters, and other components.
- Drain systems for maintenance, secure installations, and work with the maintenance team on simple modifications such as pipes and hoses.
- Conduct line walks after modifications and provide feedback on design requirements for new process equipment.
- Assist with commissioning new systems and contribute to pilot plant design and development based on operational experience.
- Carry out basic analyses of system and process performance using HMI and data tools, and share feedback on data analysis tools.
