Qualifications:Proven experience in software and systems development. Strong background in software development with hands-on experience building software systems. Proficiency in at least one programming language: PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Elixir, Go, or similar. Extensive knowledge of Linux administration. Experience with major cloud providers such as AWS, Digital Ocean, or Google Cloud. In-depth understanding of IT security best practices. Familiarity with automation/configuration tools (Puppet, Ansible) and orchestration software (Docker Swarm, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of computer networks. Experience managing production-scale systems.

Join our dynamic team as a Platform Engineer III, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape of our organization. As a key contributor, you will build innovative software solutions that drive business success and enhance our platform's capabilities. Your expertise will help us maintain the company's infrastructure, ensuring uptime, performance, and scalability while engaging in exciting projects that require collaboration with Data Scientists and Operations teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure optimal uptime, performance, and reliability of the company platform.
  • Lead the design and architecture discussions, mentoring team members.
  • Develop and maintain a public API to facilitate seamless interactions.
  • Transform feature requests into robust and extensible solutions.
  • Utilize big data technologies such as Kafka, Hadoop, and Spark.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to implement value-added features.
  • Work with DBAs to create efficient ETL and Data Warehouse systems.
  • Automate solutions in collaboration with Operations for increased service reliability.
  • Monitor platform-related production systems closely for optimal performance.
  • Build tools and processes to support analytics, monitoring, machine-learning, and data warehousing platforms.
  • Implement comprehensive strategies for network configurations, backups, and deployments.
  • Provision, configure, and maintain both onsite and cloud-based server resources.
  • Define deployment strategies for both client-facing and internal systems.
  • Engage in continual improvement of alerting and monitoring systems.
