Salary Range: ₹10,00,000 - ₹30,00,000 per annum
As a Platform Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and scaling high-performance backend systems for a cutting-edge fintech platform. Your expertise in creating secure, reliable, and scalable microservices within a cloud-native environment will directly impact our product innovation.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, AI, data, and frontend engineering, to deliver robust APIs and distributed systems that support vital financial applications. This role requires a deep understanding of modern backend architectures, event-driven systems, and production-grade deployments.
In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for shaping system design decisions, ensuring platform stability, and driving performance optimization across various services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
- Implement microservices architecture and event-driven systems using tools like Kafka, SQS, and SNS.
- Manage integrations with external and third-party platforms.
- Work with databases and data systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Neo4j.
- Deploy and manage applications using Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and CI/CD pipelines like GitLab.
- Ensure platform security, compliance, and best practices in API governance.
- Implement monitoring and observability using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Optimize system performance, latency, and throughput for high-scale production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end product capabilities.
- Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Extensive hands-on experience in Python, FastAPI, and building production-grade microservices.
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud-native architectures and AWS services (EKS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, RDS, S3).
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, API design principles, and authentication frameworks (OAuth2, JWT).
- Experience with relational, NoSQL, and caching systems in high-performance environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work in product-driven teams and deliver scalable solutions.
