AMCS Group is seeking a Platform Engineering Software Developer to join the Metro Manila team. This role centers on building and enhancing the core platforms, tools, and automation that support engineering teams in delivering software efficiently and securely at scale. The position is hands-on and has a direct influence on developer experience, system reliability, and operational standards throughout the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Architecture and Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable platform services and automation tools for product engineering teams. Build reusable frameworks and infrastructure components, and contribute to architecture decisions, technology choices, and long-term planning.
- Cloud Infrastructure and Reliability: Set up and manage cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Bicep. Implement secure, reliable systems that follow SecOps and DevOps practices, and improve system observability through effective metrics, logging, and tracing.
- Developer Experience and Enablement: Create internal tools, automation, and workflows to enhance engineering productivity. Work with teams to identify and resolve workflow challenges, and promote best practices in CI/CD, event streaming, test automation, and deployment.
- Security and Compliance: Integrate security into platform features and collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance and safe-by-default designs.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Mentor product engineers on platform systems and best practices. Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and cross-team projects, supporting a culture of continuous improvement and engineering ownership.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience, with a focus on platform, infrastructure, or foundational systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Strong understanding of cloud services, CI/CD tools, and container orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Bicep.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and commitment to quality.
