Role Overview

The Platform team manages all backend services at Speechify. This includes payments, analytics, subscriptions, new product features, text-to-speech functions, and external APIs. The Platform Software Engineer role is key for someone who brings a strategic approach, enjoys making product decisions with impact, and has a strong background in building user-focused solutions. The environment moves quickly, and the team values technical skill, clear communication, and a drive to deliver results.

What You Will Do

Design, build, and maintain APIs, both public (such as TTS) and internal (payments, subscriptions, authentication, usage tracking), with scalability and business needs in mind.
Oversee the backend API ecosystem, focusing on improving performance and maintainability.
Collaborate on B2B solutions, customizing and integrating features for enterprise clients.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure backend architecture supports product strategy and user experience.
