Power Systems Engineer Associate
Location: Taylor, TX
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (In-office twice a week)

Job Overview: As a Power Systems Engineer Associate, you will provide essential engineering support aimed at enhancing the capabilities and modeling of inverter-based resources (IBRs). Your role includes reviewing technical submissions to maximize voltage ride-through (VRT) and frequency ride-through (FRT) compliance, conducting reliability power system studies, and collaborating with market participants and internal teams to ensure adherence to requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct reliability power system studies, including steady-state and dynamic stability assessments, to evaluate the impact of IBR VRT and FRT performance on the company’s systems.
- Review technical data submissions to ensure compliance with VRT and FRT requirements.
- Assist in developing processes to implement NOGRR 245 and related rulemakings.
- Provide technical support to cross-functional project teams for submission reviews and performance evaluations.
- Engage with market participants for understanding requirements and facilitating submissions.
- Evaluate and recommend actions on requests for extensions and exemptions from VRT and FRT requirements.
- Represent the company in relevant stakeholder groups.
