Power Systems Network Modeling Engineer

Hybrid – Onsite 2 days per week

Location: Taylor, TX

This position involves the analysis and modeling of transmission network data, focusing on transmission and generation element parameters. The successful candidate will collaborate with various departments including System Operations, Market Operating Services Support, and System Planning to ensure the accuracy and integrity of power system models.

Your responsibilities will include utilizing software for power flow analysis and Locational Marginal Pricing (LMP), implementing model changes based on Network Operations Model Change Requests (NOMCRs), and coordinating with the Network Data Support Working Group (NDSWG) to maintain transmission network models.

You will also be tasked with developing data mining techniques for compliance reporting, improving modeling processes, and providing training to members of the Engineering Development Program (EDP). In addition, you will manage updates to the SGEM application and review various operational documents related to power systems.
