Position Overview
The Principal serves as a pivotal leader within our school community, responsible for enhancing academic performance and fostering a rigorous college preparatory environment. In addition to academic leadership, the Principal plays a crucial role in cultivating a positive school culture and engaging with parents and the larger community.
Each Rocketship campus is led by a Principal, supported by Assistant Principals, a Business Operations Manager, and an Office Manager. Together, this leadership team guides a dedicated group of teachers, tutors, enrichment coordinators, and support staff to deliver personalized instruction to students ranging from pre-K through fifth grade.
Principals are expected to provide instructional guidance through regular classroom observations, delivering ongoing feedback, co-planning curriculum, and facilitating data analysis. They also share responsibilities for professional development, managing school culture and behavior in shared spaces, and coordinating special events. Rocketship Principals actively collaborate with parents, families, and community leaders.

The Principal reports directly to the Director of Schools and oversees a team that includes Assistant Principals, the Business Operations Manager, Office Manager, and teaching staff.
