Join our vibrant and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Principal Civil Engineer at one of our rapidly expanding offices in Scotland, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, or Perth, while enjoying our flexible hybrid working model.

Recently, AECOM has been designated the preferred bidder for one of two Primary Designers for Scottish Water’s SR27 Enterprise, a transformational, multi-billion-pound initiative aimed at revamping Scotland’s water and wastewater infrastructure from 2027 to 2033, with a possibility of extending for an additional six years.

AECOM will play a pivotal role in this groundbreaking delivery model, fostering design excellence at scale and collaborating with Scottish Water and our Enterprise Partners to achieve outcomes that deliver value for customers in Scotland and transcend net zero. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Lead the quality assurance process for project outputs, ensuring compliance with standards and client specifications.

    • Mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to help them realize their full potential.
    • Create a collaborative and supportive work atmosphere that promotes professional advancement.
  4. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Serve as an effective communicator, adept at engaging with various project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and external partners.
