Join Systems Technology Research (STR) as a Principal Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) at our Dayton, OH office, where you will engage in a wide array of Department of Defense (DoD) mission areas. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in leading teams, system architecture, and navigating the Systems Engineering Lifecycle with a strong emphasis on Digital Engineering and MBSE methodologies.

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with leading experts in sensor development and cybersecurity to implement MBSE tools and techniques. We seek a candidate who is not only proficient in Systems Engineering practices, Modeling and Simulation, and Digital Engineering but is also passionate about mentoring junior staff and enhancing the organization's expertise.

Your responsibilities will include modeling with SysML and guiding teams in customizing automation techniques through Cameo to ensure compliance with DoD Digital Engineering objectives. Proficiency in languages such as C/C++, Java, or Python is highly desirable.

The selected candidate will be expected to implement a robust MBSE approach in the development of DoD systems, with new programs at STR aiming to adopt agile strategies that integrate model-based requirements management and traceability within software development. This role is ideally suited for a Systems Engineer with a software development background eager to elevate the practice of MBSE.
