Join the American Institutes for Research (AIR) as a Principal Researcher on our Healthcare Innovations team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of experts, including nurses, physicians, psychologists, economists, sociologists, data scientists, and public health specialists, to tackle the complex issues surrounding healthcare quality, costs, and access. Your contributions will help advance evidence-based solutions that save lives through rigorous research, evaluation, and cutting-edge data science and technology.

As a senior technical expert in quality measure development and implementation, you will play a crucial role in large-scale federal programs, particularly with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the CMS Innovation Center (CMMI). This position will involve shaping quality strategies, refining measurement processes, conducting annual updates, and performing analytical work that supports performance-based payment and monitoring.

This role requires a strong emphasis on quality measures expertise, methodological rigor, and the capability to lead substantial projects or tasks. You will also contribute to thought leadership, project execution, and business development within AIR’s expanding implementation and monitoring portfolio.
