Your Role as a Private Client Solicitor
We are looking for a passionate Private Client Solicitor to join our expanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting personalized wills, offering guidance on inheritance tax (IHT), and advising on the establishment and administration of trusts. You will work intimately with clients to understand their unique situations, including complex family dynamics and business ownership, ensuring their wishes regarding asset distribution are accurately reflected.
To excel in this role, you will need a deep understanding of trusts, inheritance tax, and estate planning, coupled with exceptional communication skills to effectively advise clients and document their desires accurately. Your expertise will allow you to provide strategic advice on wealth preservation, tax planning, and asset protection. Experience in probate and estate administration is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients to identify their estate planning needs and objectives.
- Assess complex family and financial situations to devise suitable estate planning and trust strategies.
- Draft wills, trusts (including discretionary, life interest, and bare trusts), and other estate planning documents tailored specifically to each client.
- Provide expert advice on the creation, administration, and taxation of trusts, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Advise clients on the implications of trust structures for asset protection, succession planning, and tax efficiency.
- Review and update existing wills, trusts, and estate planning documents as required to reflect changes in clients' circumstances or legal requirements.
