Qualifications:Currently pursuing a Ph. D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Plasma Engineering, or a related discipline, with hands-on experience with plasma reactors. Solid understanding of the foundational principles of deposition and the limitations of thin film characterization. Strong motivation to operate ASM chambers and develop process conditions based on a mechanistic understanding. Awareness of the importance of safety and fostering a positive working culture in the lab. Confident in presenting and discussing results collaboratively in a scientific context.

  • LEAS, TiN THK NU/Conformality improvement

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct process characterization based on comprehensive studies relating to deposition conditions.
  • Gain insights into the principles of Plasma-based deposition and its interaction with hardware (plasma power, pressure, etc.) through Design of Experiments (DOE) evaluations.
  • Receive training in X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), X-ray Reflectivity (XRR), Ellipsometry, Nanoindentation fundamentals, and characterization analysis.
  • Regularly monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) and work on enhancing process stability.
  • Identify sensitive and key parameters and incorporate them into hardware startup protocols.
  • Present key achievements in a large audience forum.
