Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline. Proficient in both oral and written communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage. A minimum of 1 year of experience within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to lead and employ problem-solving techniques to address quality issues, including risk assessment evaluations. Familiarity with PFMEA and control plans is essential. Knowledge of analytical tools such as DOE, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP, QFD, 8D, CpK, and CmK will be advantageous. Strong time management skills to ensure project success and timely completion of assignments. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, providing constructive feedback and demonstrating self-motivation. Applicants must be Malaysian citizens.

  • Deliver expert technical support during series production to ensure that manufacturing aligns with safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards through compliance with manufacturing processes related to both direct and indirect materials.
  • Oversee the overall manufacturing process compliance, focusing on safety, quality, cost, and delivery metrics for direct labor and machine processes.
  • Achieve direct productivity (DP) goals on the manufacturing line as a key performance indicator (KPI).
  • Monitor and ensure that the manufacturing line meets internal defect costs (IDC), First Pass Yield (FPY), and line failure rates (FOR) as critical KPIs.
  • Execute specific tasks as assigned by supervisors to support operational excellence.
  • Lead and strategize improvements for production line layouts, workstation setups, material flow, labor headcount, and shift requirements.
  • Conduct big data analysis to review and enhance process parameters, troubleshooting OEE losses on production lines, while debugging and resolving fallout rates from production processes or machine testing.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in process planning and industrial engineering for ongoing products, including line balancing and value stream studies.
  • Review process control parameters and perform regular capability studies (CpK, CmK, GR&R) on manufacturing processes.
  • Standardize work practices through time studies and MTM/UAS methods, implementing ergonomic solutions post-SOP.
  • Optimize line balancing based on evaluated time studies.
  • Regularly update and maintain manufacturing engineering documentation, including Work Instructions, Visual Aids, Line Balancing, and FMEA for product and process issues post-SOP.
  • Plan and implement cost reduction strategies focused on process improvements, VT, and workforce optimization.
  • Coordinate root cause analysis and reporting for second source, RPP, component qualification builds, and first lot monitoring builds.
  • Provide training and guidance to Trainers, Supervisors, and Direct Operators on manufacturing processes.
  • Support production teams in achieving effectiveness, productivity, output, FOR, and quality targets.
  • Troubleshoot process and quality challenges within production.
  • Engage in relevant audits, coordinating corrective actions where necessary.
  • Actively participate in BPS activities (LLD, QVSM, VSM/VSD), identifying and leading improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare ISIR Evaluation/QZ sample tools.
  • Support daily Point Continuous Improvement Processes.
  • Coordinate rework activities for products related to quality assurance.
