The Process Engineer plays a crucial role in enhancing manufacturing operations through the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Work Instructions (SWI). This role involves identifying and executing improvement initiatives, performing root cause analyses on production and maintenance challenges, and collaborating with the operations team to achieve program goals. Additionally, you will be engaged in equipment assessments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

Drive the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Work Instructions (SWI).
Provide analytical and data-driven support to the production team to resolve various operational issues, including those that extend beyond engineering.
Conduct hands-on root cause analysis for production, engineering, equipment, and maintenance challenges.
Identify and execute kaizen projects aimed at enhancing productivity and efficiency.
Oversee process improvements, including implementation, analysis, and optimization.
Develop Process Control Specifications and Flow Charts.
Assist in Equipment Runoff at Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).
Collaborate with the Operations Team to ensure successful program deliverables.
Lead the development of Value Stream Maps (VSM) for production lines across multiple sites.
Review PFMEAs, simulations, control plans, and launch deliverables.
Support plant equipment installation, debugging, launching, and continuous improvement efforts.
Actively participate in meetings with plants to meet project deliverables.
Assist all sites with troubleshooting activities, offering solutions for process optimization.
Handle automation troubleshooting, new equipment installation, and modifications.
Conduct evaluations of process equipment for implementation.
Ensure that equipment and systems adhere to relevant standards and legislation.
Establish equipment installation boards and review progress with OEM and contractors on a weekly/daily basis.
Lead trial runs at all locations.
Coach, mentor, and train less experienced team members.
Support machinery or equipment quotations necessary for processes.

Additional Requirements:

Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Must be available for travel up to 50% of the time.

Position OverviewThe Corporate Customer Quality Program Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and sustaining the corporate Customer Quality program at Silfab Solar. This position focuses on enhancing product safety, quality, and root cause analysis (RCA), while also elevating customer satisfaction and minimizing return merchandise authorizations (RMAs). The manager will oversee the Customer Audit and Inspection Process and collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Product Development, and Operations teams to enhance both process and product reliability. This role is instrumental in standardizing and promoting Customer Quality practices and metrics across multiple sites, working diligently with the Sales team to expedite RMA response times. Additionally, the manager will define and enact competitive benchmarking and customer delight initiatives, aiming for a significant reduction in the cost of poor quality (COPQ) related to RMAs and associated non-conformances.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure alignment of Customer Quality functions and processes with Silfab’s Vision and Purpose.Establish a robust structure for Silfab’s Customer Experience and Quality (SCE&Q) program, outlining short-term, mid-term, and long-term strategic goals and metrics.Deploy and enforce adherence to the SCE&Q maturity growth roadmap.Benchmark best-in-class metrics for Customer Quality across various industries.Lead the deployment of the SCE&Q program through cross-functional collaboration.Enhance customer and third-party auditor processes, including In-Process Monitoring (IPM), Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI), and Container Loading Monitoring (CLM).Manage and mitigate customer risk scores effectively.Address and resolve field quality failures promptly.Collaborate with site Customer Quality Engineers to standardize RMA and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) processes across all facilities.Develop the capabilities of the SCE&Q team through training and performance metrics.Lead problem-solving initiatives using PK, A3, and Apollo processes to address customer quality issues.Work closely with various departments to enhance IPM and RMA response times.Conduct analyses of customer satisfaction, quality, and service metrics, identifying areas for process improvements.Engage proactively with Sales and Product Engineering teams to capture the voice of the customer (VOC) and implement strategies for customer satisfaction and delight.Collaborate with Safety, Product Engineering, Production, and Sales teams to uphold the highest safety standards in our products.
