The Opportunity
As one of Matter’s primary commercial sectors, the insurance industry presents a unique opportunity. We are collaborating with leading property and casualty insurers to revolutionize their operations with data-driven products that assess roof conditions, material degradation, and hazard exposure on a large scale. We seek a dedicated Product Manager to spearhead this initiative.
In this role, you will define and steer Matter’s insurance data product roadmap, guiding it from initial customer discovery to successful commercial rollout. You'll engage directly with carrier executives and operational teams, translating their workflows, economic considerations, and adoption challenges into actionable product requirements, packaging, and pricing strategies. Collaborating closely with our science, engineering, deployment, and commercial teams, you will help deliver products that fundamentally transform property risk assessment while ensuring the financial viability of Matter’s insurance vertical.
You will play a critical role in determining our product development priorities, understanding the significance of our offerings, quantifying customer and organizational value, and identifying what it takes to scale from initial deployment to a repeatable product.
Your Responsibilities:
Lead the insurance product roadmap across our diverse offerings.
Engage directly with customers to identify operational challenges, economic factors, approval workflows, and barriers to adoption.
Convert spectral and geospatial capabilities into precise product specifications and customer-facing deliverables.
Collaborate closely with science, engineering, and deployment teams to define product requirements, assess trade-offs, prioritize features, and launch products effectively.
Establish robust feedback mechanisms between customer iterations, deployment execution, and product refinement.
Develop a return on investment framework that aligns with customer objectives and supports the growth of our insurance vertical.
