POSITION SUMMARY
We are on the lookout for a skilled Production Manager who possesses experience in live theater and corporate/industrial settings. This role will involve overseeing budgets, schedules, vendor coordination, risk management, and on-site execution for prestigious theatrical, music, and live events. You will be the key player from the planning phase to integration, ensuring that productions are delivered on time, within budget, to specifications, and with safety as a priority.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the production schedule, including establishing clear approval gates and milestones; maintain calendars and accountability for milestones.
Oversee the production budget, including assumptions, cost tracking, weekly updates, and contingency management.
Lead vendor coordination, including RFPs for staging, rigging, lighting, audio, video, and other necessary services; manage scopes, bids, and Certificates of Insurance (COIs).
Coordinate venue operations by liaising with venue contacts regarding rules, rigging points, power distribution, load-in/out timelines, and compliance with dock and fire-lane regulations.
Collaborate with Front of House partners to plan and execute audience operations, including wristband distribution, queue management, and ADA compliance. Develop staffing matrices, seating plans, and signage.
Oversee technical production operations, working closely with the Technical Director to approve plots/shop drawings, screen maps/media-server specifications, RF plans, communications, and show control.
Produce and maintain run-of-show documentation (run sheets, cue sheets, lineups); schedule and enforce cue-to-cue and camera rehearsal timing in collaboration with the Show Caller / Stage Manager and Technical Director.
Coordinate with the Music team to source stems, cue sheets, and manage live vs. streaming transitions; ensure delivery of playback materials to the A1.
Take ownership of safety and compliance, including incident command plans, egress/ADA requirements, fire marshal coordination, and emergency protocols.
