Job Overview
Oversee safety protocols, quality assurance, training, performance management, and productivity within the production team.
Attend and contribute to production and safety meetings, leading shift briefings as necessary.
Review and authorize time records for team members during your shift.
Assist the Production Manager with operational reviews, making recommendations for improvements in staffing, equipment, and processes.
Maintain accurate administrative documentation, including time cards and safety reports.
Ensure tools and equipment are operated safely and correctly by team members.
Interpret blueprints and sketches to ensure project specifications are met.
Demonstrate a strong technical aptitude and keen attention to detail.
Plan layouts and installations according to project specifications.
Read and understand manufacturer documentation for the installation of major ship equipment.
Willingness to work at heights (using scaffolding or lifts) and in confined spaces.
On-site training will be provided.
Qualifications
Ensure tasks are prepared and executed efficiently and on schedule.
Confirm work is performed in line with HSE guidelines and quality standards.
Supervise team responsibilities, ensuring all roles are fulfilled as per job descriptions.
Provide independent assessments of team performance, offering recommendations for promotions, transfers, or other personnel decisions based on established policies.
Oversee personnel training, development, safety, quality, inventory management, and overall operational excellence.
