What will you do?
As the Production Team Leader, you will oversee the assembly activities within your assigned department. You will work closely with fellow team leaders to ensure production targets are met within the set deadlines and quality standards. Based on the production schedule, you will create a weekly plan that effectively utilizes available capacity for output, training, and quality assurance. You will coordinate your tasks and resources with other team leaders, the production planner, and the production manager. This process is further supported by various line coordinators who collaborate intensively with the team leaders. Flexibility is key, as you will be required to assist in different departments and step in for absent team leaders.
You will be equipped to analyze data from various systems and methodologies, translating insights into actionable strategies on the shop floor. By following up on these actions, you will ensure that predetermined KPIs are achieved. You will cultivate a culture of continuous improvement within your team and collaborate with fellow team leaders to initiate process enhancement initiatives and ensure their successful implementation. Close communication with your supervisor and other departments such as logistics, quality, HR, and/or QHSE is essential.
You will lead a team of motivated employees, promoting their development and ensuring a safe working environment both physically and mentally. You will stay attuned to the dynamics on the shop floor and translate them into specific improvement actions. In this capacity, clear communication and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback are vital.
