As a successful candidate, you will grasp the unique value proposition of Kong's platform products and consulting services, effectively communicating this to prospective clients. Your expertise will involve identifying opportunities, building a robust sales pipeline, collaborating with Account Executives in sales meetings, crafting service proposals, managing quotes, obtaining necessary approvals, and presenting these proposals to both new and existing clients.
An ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a professional services organization, emphasizing the sale and/or implementation of technology solutions. You will excel at juggling multiple sales opportunities, identifying service champions within your accounts, fostering relationships, and providing technical guidance on services that maximize value for our clients.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Proactively developing a pipeline of service opportunities in partnership with regional sales leaders, account managers, and solution architects.
Managing various opportunities through distinct stages of the sales cycle.
Leading the services sales process to ascertain the client's business and technical needs, positioning the appropriate services accordingly.
Advising Account Executives and Solution Engineers on the optimal services to present to prospective and existing clients.
Establishing yourself as a trusted advisor by directly engaging with clients to recommend services that provide value and assist them in achieving their goals.
Overseeing the entire professional services sales process, including discovery, preliminary solution architecture design, and writing Statements of Work (SOW) or positioning suitable service package offerings.
Maintaining an accurate sales forecast for service opportunities and actively participating in regional forecasting meetings.
Creating and updating a portfolio of professional services, including service packages, datasheets, presentations, and solutions.
