About the Role: The Vehicle Recovery, Safety & Logistics Manager is a vital operational leadership position tasked with ensuring the safe, efficient, and systematic management of vehicle recovery operations, market safety supervision, and logistical operations within a Waymo market. As Waymo expands its Waymo Owned & Operated (O&O) and Partner markets, this role guarantees that recovery protocols, safety standards, and vehicle logistics are executed consistently to uphold fleet availability, safeguard operational integrity, and emphasize Waymo's unwavering commitment to safety. Operating within Market Operations, this leader is the market's safety advocate, ensuring that vehicle recovery activities, incident response coordination, and operational logistics are managed with precision and aligned with Waymo’s Safety Management System (SMS) as well as regulatory requirements. This role also serves a crucial coordination function across partners, vendors, depot teams, and centralized operations to ensure prompt incident resolution, optimized vehicle movement, and minimized operational disruptions. The position demands strong operational judgment, safety leadership, and real-time coordination capabilities, enabling the market to maintain high service reliability while navigating the complexities of autonomous fleet operations.
