About the job
We are seeking an experienced Geologist Supervisor to provide essential geological support during drilling and well-site operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting mud logging data, cuttings, well logs, core samples, and seismic data to assess hydrocarbon potential.
Key responsibilities include reviewing well geological proposals, summarizing geological information and risks for communication to all stakeholders, including drilling and operations personnel. You will prepare daily geological reports and present findings during daily operation meetings.
Additionally, you will ensure the quality control of geological data, submit timely reports to office geologists, and provide real-time geological interpretations, including identifying well tops and potential pay zones based on gas readings.
Your role will also involve preparing core and cutting samples, along with PVT samples for laboratory analysis, and compiling the final well report. Critical issues related to geological and reservoir conditions must be communicated effectively to the office and involved parties during operations.
Safety management is a priority, and you should be prepared to communicate any emergencies or potential risks during operations.
