Position Overview: In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the implementation, training, and auditing of all project controls functions for large-scale construction projects. You will collaborate closely with the Project Management and Regional Operations teams to ensure project delivery within established timelines and budgets. Your primary focus will be to support the Project Manager with all client-facing and internal reporting. Key project controls activities will encompass project kickoff, tracking, productivity monitoring, updating P6 schedules, contract management, change order control, project billing, forecasting, and project closeout.
Job Duties:
- Engage with the Project Management team and corporate management to participate in regular project meetings, gathering information and preparing necessary reports and presentations.
- Identify and communicate design changes, scope alterations, and schedule delays, analyzing potential impacts and collaborating on mitigation strategies. Ensure that cost and schedule trends are monitored, manage the change management process, and propose corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams in project settings, ensuring project controls team members effectively interface with engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction, while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Oversee the project baseline processes for cost, schedule, and progress, ensuring that all project systems are implemented in accordance with established processes and company standards.
- Facilitate full implementation of project control systems across all project phases.
