Job Description
The Project Engineer will provide vital support to the Project Manager in the organization, management, and completion of projects at our Regional office or Jobsite, ensuring that project objectives are met by effectively planning, scheduling, and executing activities throughout all project phases.
- Comprehend and adhere to all WPI policies, procedures, and the corporate safety program.
- Engage actively in the safety plans and measures associated with assigned projects.
- Examine contract language, scope of work, and special provisions within the contract, ensuring project team members are informed.
- Assist in the procurement of materials, subcontractor, and engineering quotes.
- Prepare RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
- Support on-site visits and attend job meetings as necessary.
- Evaluate change requests and update budgets promptly.
- Prepare, review, and report on weekly productions.
- Assess the weekly job cost report alongside the project Foreman and team.
- Facilitate billing preparations and approve invoices for payment.
- Monitor progress and expenditures, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completion.
- Assist in implementing job schedules.
- Coordinate warranties, O&Ms, and project closeout activities.
