About the job
Contribute to the Future of Psychiatric Care
Are you a psychiatrist who looks beyond the consultation room? Someone who naturally takes responsibility for medical policies while aligning with broader organizational goals? Do you thrive in pioneering a young, evolving organization with space for vision, growth, and innovation? If so, YOEP invites you for a conversation.
Following six valuable years, our Chief Medical Officer is departing. This opens the door for a psychiatrist eager to shape the future of youth care and mental health services. In this dual role, you will lead medical policy, ensure quality, and serve as a strategic partner.
The position is based in The Hague; we are open to discussions regarding location and role specifics.
Your Role
As a Psychiatrist & Chief Medical Officer, you will combine direct client care with overarching responsibility for the medical foundation at YOEP. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including GZ psychologists, general pedagogical experts, treatment providers, youth physicians, and outreach workers. Additionally, you will transcend team and domain boundaries: connecting, streamlining, and integrating efforts. Together, we will advance towards a new mental health landscape.
Medical Care and Treatment
In your role as psychiatrist at YOEP, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating complex psychiatric issues in children, adolescents, and/or adults. You will provide specialized expertise, contribute to complex case discussions, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings. By remaining active in practice, you will maintain a connection with daily realities.
Medical Leadership and Policy
As Chief Medical Officer, together with the management, you will hold ultimate responsibility for the medical policy within YOEP. You will help chart the course, oversee the quality of psychiatric care, and translate developments in legislation, inspection frameworks, and guidelines into actionable, future-proof decisions. You will explicitly consider the organizational interests: excellent care and a healthy organization go hand in hand.
Active contributions will include:
The further development of youth care and mental health services;
Innovative care models and cross-domain collaboration;
Integrating and strengthening various YOEP components into a cohesive entity.
Daring to innovate is not just incidental but essential.
