Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for a meticulous Quality Inspector to join our team and assist with inspection, testing, and quality analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a dedication to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced production environment.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of machined parts and assemblies utilizing tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, blueprints, and tolerances, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
- Document inspection outcomes, identify non-conformances, and initiate quarantine processes for defective items while communicating with relevant teams.
- Perform first article inspections (FAI) and assist with supplier quality audits to confirm that incoming materials meet specifications.
- Maintain inspection tools through routine calibration and troubleshooting to ensure measurement precision.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to address issues, track trends, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Generate reports on quality metrics, such as defect rates and yield, using basic data analysis tools.
