Join Esri as a Software Development Engineer Intern in Cachan, where you will leverage your scientific and technical expertise! Collaborate with seasoned software developers and engineers to gain invaluable hands-on experience while contributing to the creation of cutting-edge analytics software used across various industries, including ArcGIS. This full-time, paid internship spans 12 weeks, commencing in late May or June.
Interns at Esri have had the opportunity to engage in a diverse array of exciting projects, including:
- Research and implementation of a large language model (LLM) for testing and test automation.
- Exploration of Machine Learning-driven GIS for aerial detection.
- Development of Data Science and Machine Learning tools to identify patterns within extensive datasets.
- Creation of an augmented reality application for Android mobile platforms.
- Utilization of Python to enhance 3D segmentation techniques.
- Development of a JavaScript web application with analytical capabilities integrated into ArcGIS.
- Integration of geospatial technologies with mobile applications to support first responders during disaster relief efforts.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the product development team to design, develop, and test software solutions.
- Enhance your problem-solving skills by tackling and resolving complex issues.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in the field of software development.
- Practice writing high-quality code, adhering to coding standards and version control practices, while participating in code reviews and managing software in a shared repository.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Master 1 or Master 2 degree at a university or Grande École in France, with a focus on computer science, applied mathematics, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in one or more of the following areas: computer vision, deep learning, C++, C#, Python, PyTorch, CUDA.
- Available for a consecutive, 12-week internship at our Cachan offices starting in May or June 2026.
- Possess valid work authorization for France.
Recommended Qualifications
- Familiarity with Esri's ArcGIS platform.
