Job Overview: We are on the lookout for a meticulous and knowledgeable Real Estate Accountant who has substantial experience working with Appfolio and QuickBooks Online. This vital role encompasses the management of financial records, the preparation of detailed financial reports, and ensuring strict adherence to accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in real estate accounting, exemplary analytical skills, and a high level of proficiency with Appfolio software.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain accurate financial records for real estate properties, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Leverage Appfolio for comprehensive financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare and interpret financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and guarantee accurate transaction recording.
  • Monitor and analyze the financial performance of real estate assets.
  • Assist in tax return preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with property managers and other stakeholders to deliver financial insights and support.

Required Qualifications:
