Position Overview
As a Receiving Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of materials within our facility. Your responsibilities will encompass precise processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring a tidy and organized workspace, validating product quality, and maintaining thorough documentation for each order. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols for material handling, and effective communication with the production team to fulfill customer expectations and adhere to production timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping Duties:
Securely package and wrap products to minimize transit damage.
Verify shipping paperwork for accuracy using ERP systems to ensure correct quantities and parts.
Generate and maintain accurate bills of lading and shipping documentation.
Monitor conveyor lines, remove completed units, and load products into trailers or storage.
Inspect items for quality and packaging compliance prior to shipping.
Prepare pallets for delivery through stretch wrapping.
Track daily shipping priorities and update the production team accordingly.
Safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks for material movement.
Manage recycling efforts and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Receiving Duties:
Process all incoming shipments, verifying counts and quality against documentation.
Deliver materials or parts to production areas as required.
Conduct visual inspections of incoming items for accuracy and quality.
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Material Handling and Inventory:
Perform regular inventory stock checks and assist in maintaining optimal stock levels.
