Role overview
This recruiter position focuses on attracting and hiring top engineers and go-to-market leaders. HUD plans to keep the team lean, aiming for 30-40 employees, and relies on a marketplace model to support revenue growth without a large increase in headcount. The recruiter will play a key role in finding and onboarding exceptional talent as the company scales.
What you will do
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for technical and go-to-market positions
- Improve recruiting operations and tools, including process automation
- Collaborate with founders and team leads to define job requirements, evaluation criteria, and interview processes
- Develop a strong understanding of HUD's product to engage technical candidates
- Source candidates using creative and effective methods
- Assess candidates for both technical skills and market understanding
- Support onboarding and integration for new hires
- Help create and implement performance review and feedback systems
Requirements
- Experience hiring for engineering, product, and go-to-market roles
- Ability to evaluate candidates through portfolios and project work, not just resumes
- Comfort communicating technical concepts to candidates
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple roles and pipelines
- Good judgment in assessing talent and maintaining high standards
- Background in early-stage tech startups and ability to adapt to rapid growth
