Role overview

This Regional Owner Operator - Tanker Driver position is based in Columbus, Ohio. Drivers typically return home every 3 to 5 days. The role centers on transporting chemical and petroleum products using tank trailers while upholding all DOT safety standards.

Main responsibilities

  • Operate tank trailers to deliver chemical and petroleum loads, following all safety and DOT regulations
  • Maintain your truck to meet inspection and operational standards
  • Handle loading and unloading for ISO/Flexi-Bag or tanker shipments, using proper procedures
  • Keep accurate logs, complete required paperwork, and comply with Hazmat rules
  • Represent Altom professionally at customer locations
  • Manage business tasks such as fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to optimize earnings
  • Meet mileage or hour goals to support consistent operations
  • Remain available for 24/7 operations when needed
