Qualifications

Strong passion for supporting children with autism. Exemplary patience, compassion, and teamwork skills. Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or GED required. Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification, as well as a Tuberculosis test (if not done in the last year). Must pass a pre-employment background check. Physical capability to move in various positions (sitting, squatting, bending, etc.). Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Registered Behavior Technician Certification is required within 45 days of completing onboarding.

As a Behavior Technician, you will provide one-on-one support to children, executing tailored behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You'll employ evidence-based methodologies to enhance communication, social skills, and daily living skills while minimizing challenging behaviors.

This position requires physical stamina as children can be active and unpredictable. You should be comfortable with standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and occasionally carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
