The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care during clinic hours, working closely under the guidance of the Clinic Administrator and receiving clinical support from the Nurse Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assist in the care of patients at Kind Clinic, which includes preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, and recording medical history through patient interviews.
- Administer direct nursing care, provide lab services, and dispense medications and treatments in accordance with established healthcare standards.
- Conduct follow-up visits and physical examinations in compliance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act.
- Educate and counsel patients on health assessments and preventative care in a culturally sensitive and supportive manner.
- Facilitate clinical training for new Medical Assistant staff and provide relevant feedback to the Clinic Administrator regarding their progress.
- Prepare and review patient charts prior to daily visits to ensure accuracy.
- Mentor clinic support staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Collaborate with the Patient Support Center RN team as needed.
- Adhere to clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures when interpreting lab results and managing medication refills.
- Comply with Texas DSHS reporting requirements for in-clinic diagnoses of certain conditions.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining clear and concise progress notes.
- Engage professionally with staff, patients, and community partners.
