As a Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in this mission, providing essential support and timely assessments to our patients.
We are looking for a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with over 5 years of clinical experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine to enhance our expanding weight management and metabolic health program. This position primarily focuses on medical weight loss, GLP-1 therapy management, and nutrition-centric patient education, collaborating closely with healthcare providers to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a genuine passion for assisting patients in achieving sustainable weight loss and improved overall health.
This is a fully in-office position that requires robust assessment skills and the ability to work collaboratively with care teams.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Weight Management
- Assist patients in medical weight loss initiatives, including management of GLP-1 medications.
- Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and follow-ups for weight management and chronic conditions.
- Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and integration of lifestyle changes.
- Contribute to care planning for obesity, diabetes, and related health issues.
- Coordinate patient care across various providers, pharmacies, and care teams.
GLP-1 & Medication Support
- Offer support for GLP-1 medications (e.g., semaglutide, tirzepatide).
- Address patient inquiries regarding weight loss medications and monitor clinical indicators.
- Ensure safe medication practices and advocate for evidence-based treatments.
Nutrition & Lifestyle Education
- Provide nutrition and lifestyle counseling based on healthcare provider recommendations.
- Encourage behavior modifications in diet and physical activity for long-term success.
- Collaborate with other health professionals as necessary.
