Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:Recent nursing experience within the last five years, including a minimum of two years of pediatric experience. Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification. Completion of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario breastfeeding e-learning course. Preferred: Pediatric Assessment course. Core Competencies:Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Strong knowledge of nursing processes, theories, and professional responsibilities. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Medication administration certification and patient assessment course required for RPNs who graduated prior to 2005.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills. Ability to work collaboratively within an inter-professional team.
