The Regulatory Engineer will play a pivotal role in navigating the regulatory landscape associated with the licensing of recycling and fuel fabrication facilities. This position also involves participating in the engineering design of advanced technologies. Candidates will be expected to cultivate a thorough understanding of requirements set by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Environmental Protection Agency, all while embracing Oklo's innovative approach to tackling complex regulatory challenges. Research and interpret regulations and precedents in the regulatory field.
Develop, refine, and review necessary licensing documentation.
Assist in managing deliverables for various internal and external regulatory activities.
Collaborate with technical staff, including reviewing technical documentation.
Analyze regulatory documents and highlight key elements.
Contribute to technical reports submitted to regulatory bodies and other external organizations.
Engage in some design engineering tasks: provide technical feedback to rapidly evolving design teams; document work using contemporary tools and techniques; and produce clear, thoughtful, and informative technical reports.
