Role overview

This per diem Relief Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician position in Littleton, CO, places you at the heart of emergency care. The role involves handling a wide range of cases, from minor injuries to critical emergencies, in close partnership with veterinary doctors. The environment is active and requires adaptability, clinical skill, and compassion for both patients and their owners.

What you will do

  • Deliver compassionate care to patients and provide reassurance to pet owners throughout their visit.
  • Take decisive action in nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage through discharge.
  • Administer medications and manage monitoring tasks such as IVs, CRIs, and blood transfusions.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless care and clear communication.
  • Be prepared to perform CPR as a certified RECOVER professional, with ongoing training and support available.

Requirements

  • Credentialed veterinary technician status.
  • RECOVER CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Comfort working per diem in an emergency setting.
