Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Remote Medical Scribe at CrewBloom. We are looking for an attentive and skilled individual who will play a vital role in documenting patient encounters accurately and assisting healthcare providers in managing electronic health records (EHR). This position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while contributing significantly to the efficiency and quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Patient Interactions: Efficiently transcribe medical histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans during patient visits.
- Manage EHR: Ensure complete and accurate updates to patient records in the EHR system.
- Real-Time Entry: Support healthcare providers by entering patient information into the EHR system during consultations.
- Collaborate with Medical Staff: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Assist with Chart Reviews: Review and edit patient charts for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Handle patient information with strict confidentiality in adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Provide Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling and managing correspondence.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a medical scribe or in a healthcare environment is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems is advantageous.
- Exceptional typing and transcription skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in EHR systems and general computer skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently.
- Certifications: Certified Medical Scribe Specialist (CMSS) certification is a plus but not required.
- Preferred: HIPAA certification.
Technical and Environment Requirements:
- Internet Connection: Primary connection should have a minimum speed of 15 Mbps, with a backup connection of at least 10 Mbps that can support work during power outages.
- Primary Device: Desktop or laptop with at least Intel Core i5 (8th generation or newer) or Intel Core i3 (10th generation or newer).
