Role overview
This Research and Development Engineer in AI position is a 24-month contract based in Brest, Bretagne, France. The role is tied to the Cluster SequoIA project, which is part of the France 2030 initiative. Cluster SequoIA works across fields such as cybersecurity, defense, environment, and oceanography, aiming to strengthen the AI research and innovation ecosystem. The engineer will work within the Lab-STICC team (Laboratory for Information, Communication, and Knowledge Sciences and Technologies).
What you will do
- Develop advanced AI algorithms for academic research use.
- Collaborate with project teams and the cluster’s engineer pool to deliver technical solutions for various labeled projects, including Chairs and European initiatives.
- Support project leaders in implementing these solutions.
- Monitor emerging methods and hardware architectures in the AI field.
- Contribute to outreach through training sessions and scientific dissemination activities.
