Position Summary

The Retail Support Specialist (RSS) provides essential, hands-on support to AT&T customers within bustling national retail spaces. You will directly interact with customers and retail associates to address account, billing, device, and service inquiries, often in high-pressure, fast-paced scenarios. To excel in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, emotional resilience, comfort with technology, and the capacity to stay calm, accurate, and professional amidst the dynamic retail atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

 Customer Support

  • Deliver friendly, professional, and solution-oriented support to AT&T customers in national retail locations.
  • Resolve inquiries regarding billing, account updates, plan modifications, device assistance, and service issues.
  • Troubleshoot wireless devices, network challenges, and feature functionalities.
  • Maintain professionalism and service quality in high-volume retail settings during peak traffic and escalated situations.

 Retail Partner Support

  • Serve as the AT&T subject matter expert for retail staff and third-party labor partners.
  • Act as the primary representative for AT&T among these partners, leading in-store support for escalated retail issues.
  • Engage proactively with store leadership to address customer concerns, fostering partnership alignment and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Work Environment & Schedule Expectations

  • This role is conducted in a retail setting, requiring standing, walking, and customer engagement on the sales floor for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Comfortable working in busy, customer-facing environments with frequent interaction and problem-solving demands.

Operational Excellence

  • Effectively navigate multiple systems while engaging with customers in real-time.
  • Document all interactions thoroughly and accurately.
  • Comply with company policies, compliance standards, and privacy regulations.
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics, including quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Execute and maintain approved planograms for mobile devices and signage.
