The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a highly specialized, field-based scientific authority who actively engages with healthcare professionals (HCPs) to share clinical, scientific, and research insights. In accordance with regulatory and corporate protocols, the MSL will foster and enhance scientific partnerships and collaborations within the medical and scientific communities. This role necessitates interaction with local, regional, and national HCPs, societies, and organizations, aiming to provide educational, scientific, and research support for Sobi's rare disease product portfolio within the rheumatology sector.As a remote position, this role mandates up to 70% travel. The selected candidate should reside within the designated territory, including Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, South Dakota, and North Dakota.Key Responsibilities:Engage effectively with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.Communicate scientific information accurately, fairly, and in a balanced manner with external stakeholders.Gather and report field intelligence, including competitive insights, perspectives on compounds, disease states, and treatment landscapes.Support Sobi's clinical development and operations teams by recommending sites, conducting site initiation visits, facilitating communication, and aiding in accrual support activities.Participate in or lead advisory board meetings at local, regional, and national levels.Deliver internal and external training covering preclinical science, clinical data, and outcomes.Represent Sobi at medical conferences, engaging with HCPs and providing scientific insights.Offer cross-functional support across the organization, serving as a scientific resource within guidelines.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant studies, compounds, and diseases to facilitate informed discussions with leading rheumatology and nephrology experts.Exhibit a high standard of excellence in managing the assigned territory while contributing to the overall success of the MSL organization and supporting colleagues.Frequent ground and/or air travel is expected. An estimated ≥ 70% of time will be spent away from the remote office to meet territory size and product support needs.Act as the primary field contact for Sobi Medical Affairs - Rheumatology.
