What You Will NeedA minimum of 10 years of progressive civil transportation design experience. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina or the ability to obtain licensure through comity within one year. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Experience collaborating with public agencies, private entities, and municipalities. Demonstrated experience in developing plans, specifications, and submissions in accordance with DOT standards. Exceptional communication and client relationship skills. Strong organizational capabilities with a detail-oriented approach.

Your Role

We are thrilled to offer a career opportunity for a Project Engineer within our Civil Roadway team. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in civil transportation design, with comprehensive knowledge of roadway projects and the ability to develop plans that align with local DOT standards.

Location

This position is based in our Raleigh office and follows a hybrid work schedule.

Your Impact
  • Collaborate closely with senior team members to deliver transportation projects effectively.
  • Work independently within a design team to execute project work plans.
  • Partner with the Project Manager to ensure projects stay on budget and on schedule.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Engage with clients, agencies, and other stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
  • Contribute to the Division's strategic growth initiatives and regional strategy development.
  • Represent Benesch at various industry and professional events.
