The ideal candidate will be engaging, personable, and customer-focused, possessing a strong drive and a passion for learning new skills to forge a successful sales career. Additionally, you will have:A Bachelor’s degree in business, sustainability, procurement, or a related field. Experience in sales development, lead generation, sales, and/or marketing (cold calling or prospecting experience is preferred). Experience in sustainability, CSR, or procurement is a plus. Fluency in English and Japanese (both written and verbal) is essential, as you will be discussing complex sustainable procurement solutions in these languages. Any additional APAC language is a bonus. Proficiency in Salesforce, LinkedIn, or other sales tools is advantageous. Self-discipline with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and know when to seek assistance. Strong active listening skills, quick thinking, and resilience.

Join EcoVadis as a dynamic Sales Development Associate (Japanese Speaker) in our thriving Tokyo office!
In this role, you will be at the forefront of our outreach efforts, focusing on engaging and qualifying potential customers. This is a unique opportunity to be the initial contact for leading firms in your region, promoting the critical significance of Sustainability and ESG within global supply chains.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities to drive revenue growth for EcoVadis.
  • Engage in insightful discussions with Senior Executives (Directors of Sustainability or Procurement) at target accounts.
  • Schedule qualified meetings for our Account Executives.
  • Champion sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) for Global 2000 supply chains.
  • Collaborate with your colleagues in Marketing and Account Executives to create effective target lists, calling strategies, and messaging.
  • Maintain a high volume of outreach activities (emails, calls, LinkedIn) aimed at qualifying leads and expanding our pipeline.
  • Achieve or surpass your assigned quota.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Provide weekly reporting on both qualitative and quantitative results.
  • Develop and present quarterly business plans to key stakeholders.
  • Document all interactions in Salesforce.com to identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilize social networks to uncover sales opportunities and leads.
