In our global Modernizations and Upgrades department, you will collaborate with 21 dedicated colleagues focused on designing expansions and enhancements for our clients' existing systems. We utilize a wide spectrum of technologies, including conveyor belts with PLC software, electrical installations, RFID and barcode scanning, as well as complex software solutions and server configurations, to facilitate automation, increased capacity, and address various client requirements.
Your Role in Understanding Customer Needs
As the sales and systems lead for mechanical, electrical, and control aspects, your role will involve establishing and nurturing customer relationships to thoroughly understand their current and future needs. These relationships are built in collaboration with our 28 Group Companies worldwide, often requiring travel to meet with our clients' specialist teams. You will then ensure that customer requirements are translated into specifications for drafting optimal solutions and implementation plans, which will be executed by our project team.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing multiple customer quotations simultaneously, facilitating daily communication with our Group Companies.
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Analyzing specifications from service managers or directly from clients.
- Designing tailored solutions and implementation strategies.
- Conducting price calculations and preparing comprehensive quotations and documentation for selected solutions, including initial drafts of layouts/drawings and schedules.
- Collaborating with internal specialists to gather essential knowledge and ensure optimal solutions for our clients.
This position provides exciting opportunities for travel around the world, allowing you to meet diverse customers and cultures, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 40 days per year.
Your Profile
You possess an educational background in technology management, marine engineering, electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field, and may even be a recent graduate. Most importantly, you bring technical knowledge and a natural curiosity, combined with strong commercial acumen. Effective collaboration with clients and colleagues from various cultural backgrounds requires excellent communication skills and an appreciation for cultural diversity. You are motivated by developing customer relationships and understand the significance of these partnerships.
