You will spearhead hydrological assessments that guide flood risk management, major infrastructure planning, water resource strategies, and environmental regulatory compliance.This senior position encompasses technical excellence, client liaison, project management, and team leadership within a rapidly expanding water team.Your responsibilities will include:Leading hydrological assessments to bolster flood risk evaluations, infrastructure designs, catchment strategies, and environmental impact assessments.Providing expert guidance on rainfall-runoff modeling, river flow estimation, climate change projections, and catchment analysis.Reviewing and overseeing hydrological modeling outputs, ensuring they meet quality standards, accuracy, and UK regulatory requirements.Acting as the technical lead on significant frameworks and multidisciplinary projects across the transport, energy, water, and development sectors.Advising clients on flood risk policies, drainage strategies, abstraction licensing, and environmental permitting obligations.Mentoring and developing junior hydrologists, promoting technical excellence and knowledge transfer.Supporting business development initiatives, including bid preparation and managing client relationships.If you are passionate about innovation and turning ambitious ideas into reality, AECOM is the place for you.
