Our Multi-Tier Systems Support (MTSS) Team is dedicated to serving all students, including those with varying disabilities (mild, moderate, and severe), through an innovative model that emphasizes coaching and collaboration with our general education partners, integrated special education (ISE) teams, school leaders, and related service providers. We strive to address the diverse needs of our Rocketeers, focusing on academic, social-emotional, and behavioral support.
Position Overview:
The School Psychologist Intern at Rocketship is tasked with delivering both direct and indirect support to students, families, and staff, ensuring top-notch programming for students with disabilities.
Located in San Jose, CA, and reporting to the Manager of Psych Services, the intern will play an essential role in fulfilling our Child Find obligations. Our psychologists and interns support a select number of elementary schools. A typical day may include participating in pre-referral meetings, conducting initial and triennial assessments, providing behavior consultations, offering direct and indirect support for students undergoing social-emotional interventions, and assisting school leaders with the implementation of MTSS systems. Our schools adopt a meaningful inclusion model for special education, making it essential for our team to aid in developing strategies that enable all students, irrespective of disabilities, to engage fully in the general education classroom.
