Role Overview: Fund Accountant (Gibraltar Office)
This Fund Accountant position strengthens Wincent’s finance and operations presence in Gibraltar. The role involves direct responsibility for fund accounting tasks, supporting colleagues across NAV support, reconciliations, ledgers, investor finance administration, audits, and month-end controls. Precision, reliability, and a strong sense of ownership are essential.
What You Will Do
- Assist with preparing fund financial statements and related workpapers.
- Support audit processes and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Prepare and review NAV statements and supporting schedules.
- Conduct NAV reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Maintain and reconcile ledgers accurately and on schedule.
- Handle investor-related finance administration for multiple asset classes.
- Carry out monthly and periodic reconciliations and control checks.
- Work closely with Gibraltar auditors and internal teams.
- Spot anomalies and process exceptions early in the workflow.
- Resolve straightforward issues directly; escalate complex matters as needed.
- Keep thorough records and supporting documentation.
- Improve workflows, especially in Google Sheets, while maintaining necessary controls.
What We Look For
- Background in finance, accounting, or fund operations.
- Solid understanding of finance and accounting fundamentals.
- Experience with reconciliations and awareness of systems, rules, and exceptions.
- Strong spreadsheet skills, with particular experience using Google Sheets for formulas and data transformation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
