Join our rapidly expanding team at Masdar, where we are seeking a skilled Accountant to contribute to our exciting projects in Uzbekistan. As an integral part of our finance team, you will manage bookkeeping, taxation, and financial reporting for our Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) in Uzbekistan. Your role is crucial in ensuring compliance with both International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local financial regulations.
In this position, you will uphold the integrity of our internal controls and accounting information while maintaining an accurate General Ledger (GL) for precise financial reporting. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Accurately recording all business transactions in the accounting register (GL), adhering to local accounting standards and Masdar's financial policies.
- Preparing monthly trial balances, ensuring timely and accurate closure of books.
- Conducting monthly accruals and provisions for completeness and accuracy.
- Generating monthly aging reports for accounts receivable and payable in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring compliance with IFRS and Masdar policies.
- Preparing forecasts of cash flow, management reports, financial analyses, and budgets as needed.
- Reporting on project financial documentation to guarantee accurate project finance management.
- Handling accounts payable and receivable tasks to comply with accounting regulations.
- Overseeing invoice approvals and ensuring efficient processing timelines.
- Acting as the primary contact for tax authorities, preparing and filing tax reports and payments, and advising management on tax implications of business decisions.
