We are on the lookout for a highly skilled and meticulous Chief Accountant to spearhead the accounting operations within our Retail and Food & Beverage division. This pivotal role encompasses the supervision of financial operations, ensuring precise financial reporting, upholding robust internal controls, and fostering business development through effective financial management. The ideal candidate will possess extensive accounting knowledge, impactful leadership skills, and a profound understanding of retail and F&B operations.Main ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting functions for the Retail and F&B division, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, inventory accounting, and fixed assets oversight.Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; provide actionable financial insights to senior management.Monitor cash flow, cost controls, margins, and overall profitability across all outlets and retail operations.Ensure adherence to tax regulations, statutory filings, and external audit requirements.Establish and maintain effective internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures.Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team for optimal performance.Collaborate closely with operational, procurement, and management teams to support strategic and operational decisions.Drive system improvements and enhancements in ERP/accounting software.
