Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team at Fuku as a Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach, where you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and overseeing rhythmic gymnastics training programs tailored for athletes of all ages and skill levels. This role is focused on athlete development, technical proficiency, safety, and creating an encouraging environment that reflects the Academy’s core values.
Key Responsibilities:
Coaching & Training
- Develop and lead rhythmic gymnastics training sessions based on the Academy’s curriculum and training standards.
- Instruct and model proper techniques for body elements, apparatus management (hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon), choreography, and performance routines.
- Modify coaching strategies to accommodate various age groups and abilities (recreational, developmental, competitive).
- Assess gymnasts’ progress and offer constructive feedback to facilitate ongoing improvement.
Athlete Development & Welfare
- Ensure the physical safety and overall well-being of all gymnasts during practice.
- Encourage discipline, teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship among athletes.
- Recognize individual strengths and areas for development, and communicate progress to the Head Coach, gymnasts, and parents as needed.
- Assist gymnasts in preparing for evaluations, demonstrations, performances, and competitions.
Competition & Events
- Prepare athletes for competitions, trials, showcases, and other events.
- Provide support during competitions, including warm-ups, floor supervision, and athlete assistance.
- Adhere to competition guidelines, codes of points, and judging standards where applicable.
Administration & Communication
- Keep accurate attendance, training logs, and progress notes.
- Maintain professional communication with parents, colleagues, and management.
- Assist with enrollment activities, trial classes, camps, and promotional events when necessary.
- Comply with Academy policies, child safeguarding protocols, and workplace regulations.
Professional Conduct
- Represent the Academy with professionalism at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow coaches, choreographers, and support staff.
- Engage in meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in sports science, physical education, sports, or a teaching equivalent. A background in Rhythmic Gymnastics is a distinct advantage.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of coaching experience in rhythmic gymnastics.
- Familiarity with the FIG Code of Points.
- First Aid / CPR certification.
